A strong word for today's appearance focused church! Truly God was and is glorified in mysterious ways!

1 Corinthians 1:27 (King James Version)

Yes, I agree. The 'Replacement Theology' as it concerns the Jew's is by far the most outrageous doctrine I've ever heard.
The Lord told the Gentiles that they were the "wild olive branch' grafted into the vine because of Israel's rejection of Him, however continued to say, "how much more should the natural olive branch be grafted back in again?"
I believe we are witnessing that in our times.

What a blessing. I've been a Graphic Artist, Designer and Creative Director for the past 25 years, in San Diego, California. Your site was listed as a link on my blog, praynpraise.com, which I started with a small group Bible study a few weeks ago.

I recently lost my job with a large Public Relations firm here and am back in school to become a High School Art and Design teacher.

I'm blessed to know you and get connected with your blog as well.

Thanks for your comment.

Please not that the text you quoted, were not what I said. I was quoting Zodhiates from my study Bible. I was looking for answers as to why Wisdom was called "she".

Ok here's my question; you say that Wisdom is not a real "person". You also say, if I understood correctly, that in Proverbs you could easily switch the term Wisdom for Jesus. You also said: “(Wisdom) is personified only to a point - it does not have a separate existence (Proverbs 1:20; 8:1-31; 9:1-2). The figure of wisdom was never regarded as independent of God. It is only one of His attributes. Can I assume then that the Holy Spirit is no more that an 'attribute'? The answer would be No. Can I assume that when Jesus was telling of this coming comforter, and Jesus uses the pronoun "He" when refering to the HS, can I assume he is doing this so that being a "hot-blooded' female I will better understand? Again I think not.
The HS throught Bible is a Person deriving from the eternal essance of God. He is shown in terms of character and will as well as emotion. And the pronoun 'he' is used to denote him as a Person of the Godhead. If I have expressed this correctly, then this is the overall view of the church, right?
Now for my question; how is it then the rules to explain the HS and make Him a persona are not the same rules when it comes to Wisdom in Proverbs. If you say to me me; the HS, he grieves for you in prayer. Or Wisdom, she is found crying in the streets. I see inaffect two distict persona's coming from the One essance of the divine Godhead.
