Save us!… give us success!

“Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity.” (Psalm 118:25, NKJ)

Following on from what I said in the last post, because we are living in the day of God’s favour, and because we have regarded Christ as our precious cornerstone to build our lives on, we CAN say “Save now,” and “Send now prosperity”. Because the NOW is today, the day of His favour.

The Hebrew word for “save now” is “hosanna”, which the Lord’s follower shouted when their King rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

The Hebrew meaning for prosperity means to advance, prosper, make progress, succeed, be profitable.

So whether it be in a business sense or in a spiritual one, when we walk in the Spirit, and do the works our Father has set for us (see Eph 2:10), the outcome has to be success. As I see it, any successful venture is a prosperous one, whether it’s in business or in ministry, and the money is only of the many by-products.

And yes, it is God’s desire and His delight to bless us, and to make our way prosperous, which is made possible through what Jesus did.
